Farewell Weeds! You Will Be Mist!

Farewell Weeds! You Will Be Mist!

And mist it is when you use boiling water.

No matter your thoughts on weeds, whether you get great information about your soil from their growth, or whether you think they're annoying as all get-out, they're easy to be rid of in one easy step.

Nothing survives boiling water, except thermophiles and certain seaweeds, which probably won't be found in your garden or patio anyway. So those annoying weeds you find in driveway or sidewalk cracks? The weeds in-between bricks on your patio? How about the ones in the gravel that spread out and hang on for dear life?

Time to put the kettle on! I have neighbors that think I'm nuts... because I wander around some mornings with a bright turquoise tea kettle and pour boiling water on weeds in the driveway and sidewalk and in the yard, etc. No weed killer like Round Up, no chemicals, no pulling them out with my hands. Just pour and go. It may kill a small amount of your soil below the surface, but that generates itself quickly and is much more desirable than toxic spray. It's also not harmful to pets or insects either... unless you pour it directly on them..... Not something I recommend!

So put on that kettle and make a go at the annoying weeds. You won't regret this way of taking control and it's regenerative gardening at its best.
