Planting Instructions:

Green Arrow peas are a shelling, very hardy cool-season crop. It can be sown in many types of soil. So plant when soil is between 45 - 75 degrees. 4" pods develop in pairs and the plant reaches 24 - 28 inches. Direct sow 1" deep in full sun. Planting every two weeks will give a continuous crop. Space plants approximately 1 - 2" apart and rows 2' apart. Germination in 4-8 days.

Care:

Short trellising them will make the vines stronger and more productive. Prolonged hot weather or a lack of moisture will reduce the size of yield. Green Arrow is prized for its disease resistance however Fusarium wilt (pea root rot) is a common disease as well as downy mildew. Harvest frequently to keep plants producing. Harvest as soon as pods begin to swell. Leaving them too long can make the peas starchy.
