Non GMO, Open Pollinated, 60 - 65 Days to Maturity

Planting Instructions:

Like many root vegetables, radish does not transplant well and should not be started indoors. Plant 1/2" deep and 1 - 2" apart in very loose, organic, well-drained soil. Radish seeds germinate in 3-7 days, thin out starts to 4-6" apart depending on variety sown. Too much nitrogen in the soil will result in small roots and lots of greens. Temperature preference is 60 - 65 degrees in full sun.

Care:

Radishes like consistent watering and slightly moist soil but they don't like soggy soil. Water deeply once or twice a week as the top 1" of soil dries out. We don't recommend fertilizer of nitrogen additives. These radishes are slightly larger than most and will require a little longer growing period. It has a larger, deeper, taproot needing extra time and space to mature.

Radishes have been around since the Romans, but this radish is relatively new. They sell well at farmers market and seem to have an edge with popularity everywhere they're sold. They have a crisp, mild, and slightly sweet flavor and work well in salads as well as Asian dishes, grow well in cooler climates and are suitable for fall/winter crops.

Bonus - my Jack Russells didn't like them, so unlike the carrots they routinely pull out of the ground these don't get touched!
