Perhaps we should put less effort into demanding better quality poisons from companies that care very little for us, and spend more time and effort demanding that kids and adults both, get a better education in gardening, agriculture, and nutrition!
I'm old enough to remember home-economics class... you know, where we learned how to cook and sew, and the food pyramid that was given to us completely upside down and sponsored by large food manufacturers motivated to sell more of what they were making. I'm certain many of you remember that as well.
Let's face it, these large 'food' companies care very little what they are doing and have done to we, the people. I'm certainly glad we now have an awareness of the ill effects of additives, colorings, and fake flavorings in processed foods. But the fact is, it's going to take awhile to turn this situation around, even for enthusiastic and hard working government officials. In the meantime, do we want to wait before we start making changes? Let's get busy educating our children and ourselves in how to eat right, how to grow what we need, and how to be healthy. And also, let's find a way to share this with people that don't have access to good food. It's a big problem, and needs to be solved.
